What “Clean” Means to Us — And What It Doesn’t

“Clean” is one of the most ambiguous words in skincare. It can mean natural, safe, minimal, non-toxic—or nothing at all.

At YANNARA, we do not use “clean” as a badge. We use it as a working principle.

For us, clean formulation means intentional selection. Ingredients are chosen for safety, function, compatibility, and long-term use—not trend alignment. We avoid unnecessary fillers, redundant actives, and performative ingredients.

It does not mean every ingredient is organic. It does not mean every raw material is unprocessed. Some ingredients require refinement to be stable, effective, or skin-compatible.

Clean also does not mean risk-free. All skincare carries the possibility of sensitivity. Transparency and restraint are more honest than absolutes.

We believe clarity is more valuable than claims. That is why our standards are documented, our ingredient lists are complete, and our philosophy is explained rather than summarized.

Clean is not a destination. It is an ongoing discipline.
